Fantastic Voyage
This special effects extravaganza from 1966 has proved surprisingly enduring, despite a technical quality crude by contemporary standards; perhaps it's the screwball poetry of the plot idea--a team of scientists is miniaturized and injected into the bloodstream of a famous physicist in an attempt to destroy a clot that threatens his brain--that still gives it a grip on the imagination. The hero is the bland Stephen Boyd; someone in his crew--Edmund O'Brien, Donald Pleasence, Arthur Kennedy--is a commie traitor, and Raquel Welch is along to provide a biology lesson of a different sort.
