Dream Lovers
After being apart for more than 2,000 years, a reincarnated couple find each other in the 20th century in Tony Au's 1986 love drama from Hong Kong. Chow Yun-fat plays a young conductor; Lin Ching-hsia is the woman who dreams of meeting someone who looks like him. Barbara Scharres, director of the Film Center, suggests that the story is a metaphor for the reunion of Hong Kong and mainland China. |
