Bells Are Ringing
Capsule by Dave Kehr
From the Chicago Reader

One of Vincente Minnelli's minor musicals (1960), done on assignment at a time when he seemed to have lost interest in the form (it followed his great melodramas, Some Came Running and Home From the Hill). The book, by Comden and Green (Singin' in the Rain), has barely been adapted to film, and the picture is cramped and stagy, drawing the great body of its charm from its lead performer, Judy Holliday. Engaging entertainment, but far from Minnelli's peak. With Dean Martin, Fred Clark, Jean Stapleton, and Gerry Mulligan. 127 min.
